CHANGEMAKER SPOTLIGHT! - Anupa Dasgupta

This week Mission Impact sat down with Anupa Dasgupta to learn about what she is working on in web3. Anupa is a service designer and product lead for Web3 female-founded ventures including Afrovalley and is the co-founder of The Huddle Dao. She uses her background in design thinking, service design and digital transformation to build impactful digital solutions, founded on Web3 technologies.

"I use design led principles, grounded in empathy and human-centred design, to build web 3 solutions that either cater to solving problem areas or find opportunities."

Q: What insight can you share with those who would like to enter and learn more about Web3?

A: Invest time in learning and understanding people and their communities so you can implement tech effectively. The end product should not be your starting point.

Thank you Anupa for your work!

CHANGEMAKER SPOTLIGHT!! - Lisa Mariette

Last week Mission Impact sat down with Lisa Mariette to learn about what she is working on in web3. Lisa is a spiritual advisor and executive coach for conscious leaders. She helps her clients find joy in their work through discovering and living their purpose while using their unique gifts and talents to serve humanity.

We asked her what insight she could share with those interested in getting into web3: "Just Start! Having a growth mindset and curiosity are the beginning of your Web3 journey. Then find a place and community where you feel like you belong and who shares your values. Web3 is all about community, collaboration, and co-creation."

On the value of education: "I see education as the great equalizer when it comes to economic self-empowerment; that has 100% been the case for me." Mission Impact couldn't agree more and we are thrilled to have you as part of our community.

Thank you Lisa!

CHANGEMAKER SPOTLIGHT!! Interview with KYNGATHAMONSTAS •

“start inside - sift through the soil of your life and make fertile ground for inspiration, creativity and regenerative collaborative models that nurture and affirm your life… prepare to compost what destroys you, in favor of charting new pathways of inspired action born from true expression of your heart star.

start with your heart, earth + art: give your self permission to fly, to regroup, to recoup your voice from the thousands swarming your silence. from the silence, allow your true voice to speak. as you seek its embodiment, allow yourself to breathe - deep into places that nearly feel out of reach - really exhale all the way - return to center - engineer your exploration from here - remembering you pioneer the embodiment of an answer - your existence is a solution …

in the same way micro deviations from a charted journey will put significant distance between a ship and its destination, our micro-moments are invitations to challenge the misuse of our imagination to effect collective action and change. i trust in the butterfly effect of these moments, where we choose to pour from heart into our collective cup of freedom, fully expressed. these effortless, rippling waves are made possible by the self digestion it takes to transform - the ability to acknowledge the forest in the seed and the tessellating webs of worlds we weave.”

CHANGEMAKER SPOTLIGHT!! - Aga Marecka

Our Spotlight last week (yes... we are playing catch up!) is the amazing Aga Marecka! Aga is an open-minded and open-hearted visionary. Connecting people, new trends, psychology and spirituality with organizations, marketing, business and team building strategies.

Mission Impact asked her about the importance of balance in our lives and tech:

"My approach is to find a balance in life and not transfer our lives to some virtual reality while we have such an abundance and a real life game going on already. I hope that projects that are forming now will take this human-friendly approach and won't use means that are making people addicted to this space so they can monetize better - intentions and honest missions are the keys to lead our global change."

Aga also shares some great resources in the comments below.

Thank you Aga for your work- you're an inspiration!

CHANGEMAKER SPOTLIGHT!! - Sarah H.

Mission Impact sat down with Sarah H. last week to learn about what she is working on. For more than 15 years, Sarah’s deep curiosity about social structures lead her to study and analyze how human behavior and resource flows contribute to the rise and fall of great societies throughout recorded history.

What you are currently working on? How have you played a role in the development of this new world in Web3?

"I am an early stage founder in stealth mode, community building is in my blood. My passion for new tech has lead me to help build an organic community focused on metaverse tech and companies. I consult on token economies, strategic partnerships, host physical and virtual events, white glove onboarding and education, and represent selected artists."

What tips/insights do you have for those who would like to enter and learn more about Web3?

"The best way to learn is to try. Urgency is a trap. Follow Diego Borgo, find a community that resonates with you and join it, join the Metaverse Explorers."

CHANGEMAKER SPOTLIGHT!! - Dr Anita Lamprecht

Mission Impact had a chance to chat with Dr Anita Lamprecht about her take on the limitless opportunities in Web3 and Metaverse.

Anita is an Austrian expat lawyer. Gathering international experience in highly diverse and multicultural places such as Geneva, Dubai, Zug, London and Vienna. She is driven by the respect for other cultures, the necessity of access to justice and the amazing opportunities digital technologies can offer. She is the Membership Ambassador for her think tank, the Liquid Legal Institute e.V.

Q: What kind of opportunities do you see in Web3 and Metaverse space in the next 5 years?

A: To me it really depends whether we manage to find a way to safeguard people into digital space. Adding value instead of risk. Web2 has taught us a lot about what can go wrong. Now it is time to adapt.

I am currently working on Metaverse Lessons especially for lawyers, Metaverse expedition tours with members of my think tank and my project to design a digital twin of law.

Anita- thank you for your work and sharing some insight with us (see comments for more resources from this interview).

CHANGEMAKER SPOTLIGHT!! - Roxana Monica Nagy

We interviewed Roxana Monica Nagy - one of Mission Impact's 50 1st Changemakers about her insight into the future of Web3. Roxana is a Senior Mobile Engineer based in Dubai with a passion for augmented reality. She started coding when she was 13 years old and so far has been part of the development team of over 30 apps.

We asked her what kind of opportunities she sees in Web3 and the Metaverse...

"Having a passion for Augmented Reality, I can't wait to see how all these technologies will connect. I am looking forward to see how Education can be taken to another level by those technologies. Long gone are the days, where learning about topics like anatomy and history would be limited to 2D images and drawings in text books."

"Healthcare, and maybe more particularly, mental wellbeing is an interesting field to keep an eye on. I hope with the right projects and policies in place, Web3 and the Metaverse can create a safe and easy to access space for anybody to heal and improve their lives."

Thank you Roxana for your insight and your passion in this space!
